Reading Camp

To inculcate reading habit among the school children and to teach information literacy skills, Library launched a “Reading Camp” at WP/PIL/Bodhiraja Vidyalaya – a primary school located near University of Moratuwa. There are about 70 children studying in this primary school.

“Reading Camp” is conducted every Wednesdays at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya by members of the Library staff.

Mrs. Inoka Gunathilake had a discussion with students of Grade 4 and 5 on 23rd September, 2014.  Mr. Melro Mendis, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance.

Into Nature – 15th Session

READING CAMP  26On Tuesday, 8th July 2014, "Into Nature" session was dedicated to discuss about the plants of economic importance. Mrs. Inoka Gunasekera made a presentation on economic plants. To add up Mrs. Chandani Kalupahana demonstrated the medicinal plants. Mr. Melro Mendis, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance.

Into Nature- 14th Session

READING CAMP  25On 3rd July, 2014, a documentary video on “Kanneliya Forest” produced by Wildlife Conservation Department was shown to students. Mr. Anura Kiriella coordinated the programme. Technical assistance was provided  by Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Chamara Herath.
