Reading Camp

To inculcate reading habit among the school children and to teach information literacy skills, Library launched a “Reading Camp” at WP/PIL/Bodhiraja Vidyalaya – a primary school located near University of Moratuwa. There are about 70 children studying in this primary school.

“Reading Camp” is conducted every Wednesdays at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya by members of the Library staff.

READING CAMP  24Third part of the awareness programme on indigenous plants was conducted by Mrs. Indrani Jayalath on 24th June, 2014. Mr. Manjula Jayathilaka provided the technical assistance.

READING CAMP  22Sri Lanka is blessed with a rich plant life. In order to give an understanding of selected indigenous plants in Sri Lanka, Mrs. Indrani Jayalath conducted an awareness programme on 10th June, 2014. Mr. Eranga Wickrama and Mr. Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance.

Into Nature – 10th Session

READING CAMP  23On 27th May, 2014, students watched a documentary video on “Sinharaja Forest” produced by Wildlife Conservation Department. Based on the video, students did an information literacy assignment. Technical assistance was provided  by Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr.  Manjula Jayathilaka.
