Child Development Programme

To fulfill the educational needs of preschool children using modern technology and to enhance their skills and talents, Library launched “Child Development Programme“ in Sumudu Preschool at University of Moratuwa as first outreach activity. There are 18 kids currently following their preschool education in Sumudu Preschool.

Child Development Programme is conducted every Tuesdays and Fridays in the preschool by members of the Library staff.

Things at Home

Things at Home 22Mrs. Devika Thalawatte had a fruitful session with kids when she described things at home on 17th October, 2014. Using photographs and cartoons Mrs. Thalawatte educated the children as well as developed their vocabulary. Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Sameera Perera provided the technical assistance.

Wonders of Colours - 4th Session

CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME  22A puzzle will build three basic skills in children ; Physical skills, Cognitive skills, Emotional skills. On 3rd October, Ms. Chethani Lakmali and Mr. Thushara Bandaranayake got together to combine puzzles and drawing. Mr. Roshan Fernando, Mr. Sameera Perera and Mr. Susantha provided the technical assistance.

Let's Learn about the Sea

CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME22Sea and sea creatures are fascinating. Kids love sea. Therefore, Mr. Roshan Fernando taught many facts about the sea to kids studying at Sumudu Preschool on 12th September, 2014. Mr. Manjula Jayathilake provided the technical assistance. Further language learning activities were carried out as usual.
