Child Development Programme

To fulfill the educational needs of preschool children using modern technology and to enhance their skills and talents, Library launched “Child Development Programme“ in Sumudu Preschool at University of Moratuwa as first outreach activity. There are 18 kids currently following their preschool education in Sumudu Preschool.

Child Development Programme is conducted every Tuesdays and Fridays in the preschool by members of the Library staff.

Universal Children’s Day

udPre-Childhood Development Programme was conducted by Mrs. Nayani Gunawardana to celebrate the Universal Children’s Day in Sumudu Preschool on Tuesday, 1st October, 2013.. This special programme was based on their ambitions and titled as “Adath apei, Hetath apei”.  Mrs. Indu Malagoda and Mr. Eranga Wickrama  backed the fun-filled activities while Mr. Melro Shamendra, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance with the staff of Centre for Instructional Technologies (CIT), University of Moratuwa.

Clay World

Clay WorldTo improve motor skills, creativity and logic, Mr. Thushara Bandaranayake invited kids to make clay sculptures on 27th September 2013. Ms. Indu Malalgoda and Mr. D.S.K.P.K. Dodangoda assisted him.  Mr. Roshan Fernando provided the technical assistance.

Wonders of Colour

Wonders of ColourLearning about color is an important part of a child's preschool development. Mr. Thushara Bandaranayaka introduced colours and colouring techniques for kids on 24th September, 2013.  Mr. Sameera Perera and Mr. D.S.K.P.K.
